  1. My favorite classic is War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. As Napoleon’s army invades, Russians from diverse backgrounds struggle with life’s problems, and grow through their trials as they define what is important in their lives.

  2. I have to put my vote in for classics. I LOVE "Sense & Sensibility" as well as "Pride & Prejudice". When it comes to love stories these books seem "real" to me. Love is complicated and confusing, and you don't always get the one that you fell hopelessly in love with.

Another one is "Great Expectations", probably for the same reason!

  3. My favorite classic is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. For those of you who know me, you have heard me champion romance novels, so why shouldn't my favorite classic be one as well!? :o) There is a point in Jane Eyre where Bronte addresses the reader, and I vividly remember reading, "Dear, reader...," and thinking, Who's the reader? Oh, wait, that's me. For an author to lure me into her story, to a point where I forget time and place, it is a book to treasure.
